Emilee got bit in nursery this past Sunday!!! I had never truly imagined that happening. I guess I had been more worried about her biting someone else. One of the little boys bit her, but that's really all of the story that I know. A nursery worker got Britt (since I was teaching music in Primary), and by the time he got to Emilee she was already done crying and was back to playing again. Britt sat in for a little bit, but she was doing fine, so he left. What a trooper!
I found out after church when Britt had her show me her arm. I thought, oohh, that looks kind of bad. I wonder what she was doing (I wish I knew the whole story). All Emilee has needed for medicine is lots of kisses to her wrist when she remembers that she has an "owie" there. We tried taking a picture of it after her nap, but it does't show up as well on film. Each day it has faded a little more, so I guess we will all survive.
I was secretly hoping this would teach her a lesson to quit biting, but she has still tried to bite us a few times since. Each time I remind her that bites hurt and give "owies," and then she has me kiss her wrist again. Silly little thing! My mom just says she'll grow out of it someday. I hope that's right.
