I've been meaning to post for a while, and finally I decided that if I want to post, I had better just do it. Things have definitely been a whirlwind in our house since a certain event. But, things are still great. We've had to learn a lot, and I we know we've got a lot more to learn.


Things have started to follow a loose routine, and I, for one, am glad about that. It means I know that I'll be able to shower before noon because she will take a morning nap. :) It also means that I can finish house chores when she goes down. However, whenever I think we've got a good routine, and I have things figured out, Emilee decides she wants to change things. Life is change, right?


I'll make a list of things (in no particular order) that we've accomplished since I last posted:

Emilee can now sleep "through the night"

We made her first hand print
We've found a formula that suits her better

She can giggle
Emilee has excellent head control

We have a crib for her to sleep in
She says "goo" in response to Mom and Dad


She's grown out of newborn clothes (mostly)
Emilee can look at something and grab at it most of the time

Emilee can follow the eat, play, sleep routine

Emilee interacts by smiling at others (when she chooses to)

She can get the whole front of her shirt wet with drool
She tracks objects well (when she feels like it)

Emilee can help hold her bottle

She's had her first cold . . . and survived

And, (my favorite) she has a job other than making dirty diapers, she makes bubbles

Family

What a blessing it is to have families. They require a lot of sacrifice, but they are worth it.

We're still alive

Though Emilee has tried to get rid of me . . .I'm still alive.

Here is a brief update of what's happened since last we posted.


Here are the bandages from her two month shots. What a trooper!

Here the little one is with Great-Grandpa Mehr. It was great! We were all sitting around talking and Grandpa just tuned us right out and sang to little Em. He got her to sleep in no time.

Here she is with Great-Grandma Mehr. Grandma couldn't help but keep saying "Precious, she's just so precious" and "She's just a doll."

Here the Mehr's are, all of us congregated at Uncle Steve's house. Since Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa came down from Utah, we all decided to go up to Snowflake to see Uncle Steve, Aunt Tammy, and the rest.

And that's all folks!...... for now.

Blessing day and photos

Emilee Mehr was blessed on Sunday, March 1. We have a special little girl in our home, and I am so grateful to be blesssed with her. We had many family members here to celebrate in this joyful occasion. Emilee was wide awake for the blessing in church; luckily she was quiet, too. I am so thankful for the Priesthood and am glad that Britt is worthy of it.

Things were kind of crazy after church when everyone came over for lunch, and Britt and I weren't able to sit down and take pictures of Emilee. We welcome copies of pics that family members took. We did manage to get a few pictures of her.
