Em is growing up

Just a quick post to let you know things are going well for us. Emilee has really taken to reading and loves to do it!

Okay, maybe that’s not the whole story. She loves her book, but she much prefers to chew on it than look at the words. Emilee is loving bath time more than ever. Someday we will introduce toys to make it more exciting. But for now, she like to splash and smile up at us. We like it, too.

Last thing. I have to say a big THANK YOU! to my wonderful husband. Britt planned a special dinner for me on Saturday night. While it killed me waiting for it, it was definitely worth it. Britt made me one of his favorite dishes - Chicken Parmesan (sp?). Complete with accompanying pasta, breadsticks, salad, juice and candles! I feel bad that I wasn't the one to make it for him first. But, now that I know he can make it . . . it can be his special dish. :) It tasted AMAZING!! Thanks for that wonderful meal, Britt!!!

Late 4th Post

I commented to Desi the other day that we would be late for our own funerals. Anyways, here we are... were.. the day before the 4th of July. Desi was scheduled to work on the 4th, so we decided to head out on a picnic for the 3rd. A few days earlier, we stopped in at Old Navy to pick up some of our patriotic shirts. We love America and God bless the U.S.A.!

Newsflash

Quick update. Emilee had her 6-month check up (yes, a little early) with her Doctor this Tuesday. Everything was good.
Wt: 16lb 7oz (75th Percentile)
Ht: 27in (90th Percentile)
Head Circ: I forgot (I do remember it was the 25th Percentile)
And, on Tuesday morning, Emilee cut her first tooth!!! What a victory!! It was really exciting for me to finally see it pop through. :)

Emilee's Blog

I think we can probably rename this blog to "The Blog about Emilee" or "Emilee's blog" or "Baby Adventures" or something like that. She sure is the great adventure in our lives right now and we love it. Here are a few videos of the little squirt growing up on us.

This was her first adventure in the door jumper. We got it on a stealer deal for $40 along with two play gyms, a bumbo, and an outdoors swing!

She's definetly eating good these days. She likes her "solids" and she loves to eat from her spoon. It's fun to notice how she watches us as we eat and drink. Recently, I've shared some of my Aquafina water bottles with her. She likes to drink from them, however, most of the water just spills down her front.

Yes, we love our little girl. She is a load of fun. But don't worry, she isn't all fun, giggles, and laughs. That's just the stuff we decide to tape. She has her terror moments as well.
